For many decades the entertainment industry has kept us on the edge of our seats. From “Gone with the Wind” to “Tron” and “Star Wars Trilogy” to “Star Trek”.., the Stars of Hollywood has fascinated our hearts and made us dream of endless possibilities. As we sit back and watch our favorite characters on the screen, our everyday lives are built around the entertainment industry. For the the last 70 years the entertainment industry has changed from Broadway shows to Television, from Television to Cable and Radio, to Satellite and the Internet.
On Sept 9th, 1999 in Kitty Hawk North Carolina the Stars of Hollywood Network was born. William E Bales founder of VPOS Technology decided to try and give back to the Stars of Hollywood in a meaningful way so that they would always be remembered for who they are and were. The Stars of Hollywood Network originally was formed to provide the actors and actresses a place that would be looked upon as the “Smithsonian of the Stars”. An online official website that would host the actors and actresses profiles in a respectful and historical way.
The design of the website and services was strategically planned to benefit the actors and actresses in a very special way.
As technology begins to play a huge part of what is going on in the entertainment world, actors and actresses should be recognized for all the hard work they do to keep us following them as fans. Since the decision of making the profiles for the Stars of Hollywood historical website, many upgrades were designed to make the site look more like a historical website but it wasn’t enough. William Bales decided that this historical website should not only be seen as a historical site but it should be a functional site for all viewers and users as well. So the Stars of Hollywood would no longer get just a profile to represent them. The decision was made to build an entirely brand new fully functional website for every actor and actress inside the Official Stars of Hollywood Network website.
The Stars of Hollywood Network official website will house over 188,402 fully functional websites and will continue grow as new names are added to the list. Actors and actresses from around the globe will be entered into this one of a kind historical achievement. The Stars of Hollywood Network is a gift from one person’s heart that represents many fans.
When the website launches the Stars of Hollywood Network will be the only website of its kind.
